An industry leading, passionate and growing tech business is looking for a superstar Software Engineering Manager to join their rapidly growing business in Central London. The Manager will drive the development of the product to ensure the service is delivered to their consumers through a scalable, robust and secure platform, vital to their growth. Reporting to the CEO, you will lead the development team of this fantastic platform to deliver new concepts, increased functionality and product updates in line with the technical roadmap and overall business growth projections. They are looking for someone who will take the business to the next stages of growth, ideally growing into the next CTO. And if you think that’s not enough to keep up busy, the Manager will also: Play a core role in the wider business through embracing and communicating the company’s culture, mission and strategy, to investors, staff, partners, clients and stakeholders.Build and coach an outstanding in-house software development team and scale in line with the needs of the business.
Be involved at all stages of the development life cycle: initial analysis of business requirements, implementation, integration, testing, debugging and support.
Research, design and write new software programmes, keeping up-to-date with the latest software development technologies and methodologies and how it could affect growth.
Strategically plan to engineer activities, managing project timelines for both yourself and the wider teams.
Build future-proof reusable core code libraries, which can be shared to drive further efficiencies throughout the team as it grows. Oh, and here’s something else about you: Background in a similar Engineering Manager / engineering lead / tech lead role in a fast paced, start-up / agile environment.
Extensive experience growing and leading teams, ultimately delivering high quality projects.
Great communications skills.
Ability to set the platform vision and roadmap and deliver against release and product launch dates.
Capability to translate customer insights and commercial strategy into technical requirements.
Creative, self-starting, positive, down to earth, strategic, high integrity and fun individual.
Experience with, and continuously up to date with the latest opensource tech stacks. In return, the Software Engineering Manager will receive a salary of £90,000 per annum plus stock
