WHAT TO EXPECT

As Lead Solution Architect you'll be responsible for leading and shaping solution designs across the Enterprise Shared Data services function within Jaguar Land Rover's IT group. Working within the Architecture and Innovation group, you'll focus on supporting technology architectures for a number of the Data services including Big Data/Analytics, APIs, Content, Search, and Master Data Management.

You'll act as the initial Solution Architecture point of contact, proactively engaging with product owners, business customers, and Enterprise Architects working within your function. You'll be covering the end to end Solution Architecture elements across all IT initiatives, from technology selection through to project inception.

Producing fit for purpose high-level solution designs, you'll be meeting functional and non-functional requirements that adhere to existing or agreed new reference architectures, as well as current technology industry standards, in order to deliver complete customer solutions. Providing technology consultancy to your business and IT colleagues, you'll provide technical direction, governance and leadership to the Solution Architects working on your IT function's project portfolio.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

You'll have a proven track record of working in a complex and multi-faceted organisation using a wide variety of current and legacy IT technology components, you'll have previous exposure to both waterfall based and Agile/Scrum based methodologies.

You'll be experienced in delivering business aligned architectures, integrating cross technology solutions covering a variety of technologies. You'll be able to deliver pragmatic solutions that balance project / programme constraints against strategic direction. You'll be able to successfully reach and agree compromise with stakeholders, and have a proven track record of internal and external stakeholder management.

You'll need extensive experience in the role of Solution Architect or Technical Architect, alongside experience as practitioner in the role of Lead or senior Solution Architect. You'll have the ability to think strategically, analyse data and information and develop appropriate, innovative and effective solutions in a fast paced pressurised working environment. You'll have proven knowledge of IT portfolio management and IT governance processes
