Software Developer

7 Month contract initially

Romsey, Hampshire based

£400 - £500 per day.

Immediate starts available

We have an excellent opportunity for a Software Developer to join the team on a great programme of work with an exciting client, who take a novel approach to cyber security.

The successful candidate will join a network security product team developing advanced cyber security solutions. As such an understanding of networking technologies and protocols would also be an advantage.

Key Skills / Experience:

· Strong Java programming skills specifically Java SE and third party library support such as Spring, Apache Commons, JBOSS etc.

· Experience of Java Servlets and Embedded Webservers (Jetty etc).

· Strong web programming skills in HTML, JavaScript, CSS.

· Experience of RESTful interfaces.

· Experience of web sockets.

· Linux experience - preferably Ubuntu.

· Relational Database experience - preferably SQLite.

· Excellent problem solving skills and keen ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues.

Desirable Skills / Experience:

· GWT (Google Web Toolkit) including RPC Interface.

· Experience of using Redis In Memory Cache.

· UI/UX design experience.

· Experience of scripting languages (e.g. Python).

· Working in an Agile development environment.

· Developing in a continuous integration (CI) environment.
