Mission Systems Analyst - Typhoon

A leading Engineering and Sciences Company are recruiting for a Mission Systems Analyst who will be working in RAF Coningsby alongside 41 Squadron, responsible for enhancing the operational effectiveness of the Typhoon aircraft through test and evaluation, using a small fleet of instrumented aircrafts.

The role will be working with a team of MOD staff who contribute to the design of flight trials and conduct operational analysis of the results.

Responsibilities Include -

* Develop software tools to support data analysis.

* Provide analysis output as directed by the customer.

* Act as a data, tools and systems analysis subject matter expert in support of 41 Squadron.

* Pursue continual improvement to ensure outputs remain timely, relevant and of the highest quality.

* Mentor 41 Squadron personnel and develop their awareness/understanding of data analysis tools and techniques.

A Successful Applicant will have -

* An understanding of systems engineering and software engineering principles.

* Ability to develop and execute data analysis techniques

* Ability to engineer quality software tools for use in data analysis. The primary language is MATLAB, although specific training will be provided where necessary.

* Ability to identify key facts and breaking down complex information to component parts.

* A relevant Physics, Engineering, Computing or Mathematics degree (or equivalent)

Based at RAF Coningsby in Lincolnshire, this is an outstanding opportunity for a person who can positively contribute alongside experienced systems engineers and flight-test professionals in a predominantly customer-facing environment.
