Job Role
Job Title: Technical Engineer / 3rd line Support
Pay Rate: £350 - 400p/d
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: 3 month rolling contract
Location: Solihull
The Role
Spring Technology's client based in Solihull are looking for a 3rd Line Support Engineer
to Work with hardware, communications and operating systems, to provide a prompt, friendly and professional service to IT users internally in relation to network administration / documentation / testing.
Responsibilities
* To assist in release management and technical integration processes for projects
* To investigate and solve technical problems and long-term outstanding issues for internal business units
* SAN/Cluster Administration including data restore
* SharePoint Administration Exchange Server Administration (including configuration, diagnosis)
* Hardware installation and configuration
* Active Directory Configuration and Administration
* Documenting systems and their configuration
* Documenting process and procedure
* Routine Checks of systems and software
Experience and Requirements
* HP ProLiant Rack & Blade based server hardware
* Windows Server 2003, 2008 & 2012
* Windows XP, Windows 7
* VMWare ESXi Implementation, Administration and Migration
* WSUS Implementation, Deployment, Management and Administration
* Exposure to Linux based systems RHEL, CentOS form a deployment arena is of benefit.
* 3rd/4th Line support engineer
* Technical team leader with significant recent hands on experience
* Field Engineer
