A leading managed service provider is about to embark on an exciting period of growth and IT development following increased investment post Brexit vote. As a result, they are looking for a Technical Project Manager to support them on numerous programmes of work across various IT work streams.

The successful Technical Project Manager will have extensive knowledge Project Management frameworks, disciplines and policies, be able to display a broad range of technical, business and commercial knowledge, and be able to manage and mentor other members of the team as well communicate effectively with stakeholders and 3rd parties. You will have to demonstrate good understanding of strategic risk management, including methods and techniques for the assessment and management of risk.

Previous project management experience in multi-layered platforms is key to this role, in addition experience of the following will be greatly beneficial;

* Windows

* Networking

* Linux would be beneficial

Key skills and experience required;

* Operated as a Project Manager with a strong technical IT background. Precious experience as an IT Engineer would be ideal

* Experience of using OGC structured methods, e.g. MSP, Prince2

* Experience delivering within an Agile environment

* Proven experience of leading projects from initiation to successful completion demonstrating project management and leadership skills

* Proven ability to manage and lead change

* Working within a multi-customer environment

* Experience of task management of resources in a matrix management environment

* Managing work delivered by 3rd party suppliers/vendors.

* Working in a highly regulated environment would be advantageous

* A mix of public and private sector experience would also be beneficial
