Technical Architect

The primary role of the Technical Architect is to align the IT architecture with the business strategy and operational requirements. Specifically, this requires the technical architect to perform the following duties for any given project:

* Build architecture models for the business processes based on the primary business drivers. Craft and document a solution which leverages existing assets (e.g. web services) in a configurable manner to promote reuse. Construct Analysis artefacts using industry best practice modelling techniques which represent the high-level and detailed requirements of the solution and work with the business analysts on each individual project to ensure consistency across the enterprise

* Construct design artefacts that map the business solution to a technical solution in a manner that requires the least amount of IT intervention to construct and maintain.

* Work with other project personnel to define all solution space IT services (e.g TIA services and web services) and associated interfaces (e.g. wsdls) or to design required integration mechanisms (e.g. security protocol, service invocation) and all data signatures (e.g. flat file formats and Scheme loader mappings).

* Responsible for designing secure solutions according to recognized industry standards and practices.

* Conducting solution architecture sessions with Operations team, Dev and architecture teams, review development activities and create reports.

* Leading implementation of the solution from establishing project requirements (Participation in workshops) and goals to solution "go-live".

* Assisting in overseeing the development efforts and provide technical help as needed.

* Ensuring adequate system performance and enable approaches to address them systematically.

* Maintaining a strong understanding of industry trends and best practices and act as an advisor at regular intervals with deep expertise in cross-cutting concerns (security, monitoring, caching, etc).

* Knowledge or experience on the following would help

* Data migration, GDPR, Direct Assurance, Kofax, Filenet and Osacr migrations

* Task Manager Design Review

* IT Systems Upgrades - analysis of cloud options

* Weblogic 12c upgrade

* Application Monitoring and Centralised log monitoring

* GIS Upgrade

* ESG - Quote API and Websockets for Chatbot

* OpenPaaS, AWS Reference Architecture and AWS Compliancy

* Chat bot, Pricing Rules / Product detailed study

* Web site management

* Data Model - review
