CORPORATE ICT MANAGER
Salary up to £52,987, plus package including Generous Local Government Pension, Flexi time and Childcare vouchers
Rugby Borough Council is looking to employ a Corporate ICT Manager with excellent organisational, interpersonal and management skills who can deliver a fit for purpose and cost effective ICT service.
You will lead a team whose remit is to provide efficient and effective ICT solutions that address business needs, and to assist services in examining and improving current business processes.
You will be responsible to the Head of Customer and Information Services for the delivery of the Council’s ICT service and for the development and implementation of the Councils ICT operational plans; that will deliver the Council’s ICT strategy.
A key part of the role will be to provide advice and guidance on the appropriate use of current and emerging technology to support the Council in the provision of efficient and effective services; this will include the development and maintenance of appropriate policies regarding the appropriate use of ICT.
The role would suit someone who is qualified to degree level and/or with extensive experience in the management of an ICT Service and teams. Providing strong leadership, building and motivating teams, reacting appropriately and quickly to challenges and being an enthusiastic and skilled communicator are all key to the success of the role.
The person we are looking for will need to be a dynamic, adaptable and experienced officer who can make a major contribution to the achievement of the Council’s priorities.
