Project Manager (Engineered Solutions for the Renewable & Energy Industry)

Liverpool - Up to £40,000 + Bonus + Pension + Flexible Start Times

A Global Name in Engineered Solutions for the Renewables & Energy Industry are looking to recruit a Project Manager on a permanent basis for their site in the Merseyside / Saint-Helens / Liverpool area, owing to project demand for 2018-19+.

Coming from either a graduate (Mechanical or Civil Engineering or similar) and/or apprentice trained background; the Project Manager must have experience of the full project lifecycle, getting involved in the contract / tender stage (working with the customer & sales team) right the way through to delivery.

The Project Manager could be someone with experience as a Project Manager who has the ambition & drive to make the step up into a larger role and pick up a fresh challenge or could be a more seasoned individual who is looking for something different and wants to bring their experience to bear in a new role - the range is quite open ended and more about the individual person.

Working with some of the biggest names in the Marine / Oil & Gas Market, the Project Manager should have previous experience of working in a customer facing environment, of working to fairly short project lead times (3 weeks up to 6 months) and of working in a demanding / challenging role.

Managing multiple projects at any one time (6 - 9) of varying size, stage & complexity, the Project Manager should have experience of managing project budgets, ranging from £25,000 up to £multi-million and have experience of working / contending with external factors (Ie customers changing project delivery dates etc).

The Project Manager must be an individual who will take ownership of their project and work with the customer to ensure that the projects are delivered to agreed time, cost & quality and in addition, the Project Manager should be able to comprehend what any delay on a project will entail to the customer and needs to be aware of the "bigger picture" to the customer that a delay in delivery could have.

This isn't simply a "Project Manager" role - It requires someone who can motivate staff within the project team and drive projects forward, not merely facilitate the project lifecycle and needs someone who is a confident, articulate and effective communicator, who can work with stakeholders on both an internal & external basis to influence & motivate people and drive projects forward.

For the successful Project Manager, a salary up to £40,000 is on offer and this role is commutable from Preston, Manchester, Warrington, Wigan and Liverpool.
