Title: System Administrator

Location: Bristol

Salary: £ Flexible - depending on level of experience

Exciting tech start-up is looking to hire a Systems Administrator to join its growing team in Bristol.

They are looking for someone that can demonstrate excellent skills in deploying, configuring and maintaining databases, servers, and all the associated systems.

You will report to the DevOps Manager, and have responsibilities in Systems Administration, DevOps, and Support. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in AWS and DevOps, and to really build your career.

Key experience required:

-Deploying and managing servers: Apache, Tomcat.

-Deploying and managing Databases: Oracle and MySQL.

-Great skills in maintaining all IT systems, on premise and on cloud.

-Excellent communication skills - including as 1st line customer support.

Technical Skills Required:

-Linux and Windows Systems Administration.

-Database deployment and management: MySQL, Oracle.

-Server deployment, configuration and management: Apache, Tomcat.

?-Scripting, batch processing, automation, etc.

Desirable skills/experience:

?-Experience with IT and Cloud Security

-Knowledge of Cyber Essentials (+)

-Experience with system monitoring and alerting.

-Experience with testing / QA.

-Containerisation: Docker, Kubernetes, etc.

-Experience with Live Dashboards, Queue Management, IP Routing, etc.

-Programming experience, particularly Java and JavaScript.

-AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, and other cloud platforms
