IT Technician (12-month Fixed Term Contract)

Full Time (37.5 hours per week) / £28,000 - £30,000 pa

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced IT Technician to join The Children’s Trust, and support us in delivering our IT support as part of the IT Strategy, on a 12-month fixed term basis.

The IT team is key in the design, development, delivery and maintenance of The Children’s Trust’s IT infrastructure. Delivering a customer focused service and a secure technology environment is at the forefront of everything we do. We wish to appoint an innovative and proactive IT Technician, who will be a core member of the team, responsible for the delivery of front line support to staff and volunteers, as well as supporting the efficient maintenance of the Trust’s IT infrastructure programmes and systems.

The main elements of the role within the team are: to provide support for all IT hardware and software, Users, and interfaces within The Children’s Trust; provide advice and guidance to key stakeholders on recommended developments, in line with technological advances and organisational requirements; and maintain the integrity of The Children’s Trust’s IT infrastructure, ensuring a secure and virus-free service. You will be maintaining and configuring Windows Server Technologies, including but not limited to: MDT/WDS, WSUS, Group Policy, Exchange 2010, FSRM, RDS and Active Directory. Knowledge of VMWare, Veam and scripting technologies (powershell) is also required.
