£16,000 - £24,000 + Training + Progression + 33 Days Holiday + Pension

Based in South Wales, this company are among the fastest growing manufacturers in the UK and have been consistent in their success since the start. The company was founded by two engineers keen to develop a new class of composite construction materials. Due to their ongoing commercial success they are looking to add a new production line utilising brand new, state of the art equipment and need a Production Technician to help set up and run the new line.

In this role you will be responsible for overseeing, maintaining and improving a brand-new manufacturing line. You will be required to attend an initial 3-month on-the-job training programme near Blackburn, Lancashire before starting in the role. This would consist of four days training per week with a fifth spent back in Wales to help with the construction of the new line. The company will pay full bed and board, plus travel for this period. Once trained, you will be involved in installing the new line and once running you will be in charge of setting, running and maintaining the manufacturing line and training new operators. For the right candidate there will be the opportunity to move to a technical role in research and development or a move to a leadership position overseeing other setter/operators.

THE ROLE:

*Extensive initial training period - 3 months based in Blackburn

*Running, setting and operating a new production line

THE PERSON:

*Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail

*Experience working with machinery in a production factory

*Experience working to tight tolerances

*Happy to spend 3 months training in Blackburn
