Senior Embedded C Engineer/ Embedded C ARM Engineer/ Embedded C Developer/ Embedded C Engineer A Surrey based Client of mine have an immediate requirement for an Embedded C Engineer to work with them on-site in the innovation centre alongside Digital Design and FPGA consultants as a principle engineer leading the design and development of multiple 4G and 5G product release.The role includes: 

'€¢Design and development software components for Wireless Communication equipment to support product functions.'€¢Provide technical leadership and a clear design vision.'€¢Embedded software design part of this job includes software code development, verification, debugging and documentation.'€¢Maintain and enhance existing code-base -- C (essential), JavaScript, M4 and make (preferable).'€¢Taking responsibility for all aspects of design from initial concept to production release.'€¢Coordinates design review activities to ensure that designs meet their required specifications.'€¢Review product software requirements and systems architecture documents.'€¢Proposal of new products or development techniques.'€¢Trouble shooting software and Hardware issues.'€¢Documentation and support of designs within a project environment.

The required experience includes a strong competency programming onto ARM drivers and micro processors: 

'€¢Good understanding of at least one of the following:  Ethernet, SPI, I2C, USB, RS232.'€¢Shell scripting or source control e.g. subversion, git, CVS'€¢Knowledge and experience of Radio Remote Head or baseband signal processing (UMTS, WiMAX, LTE) or equivalent.

The interview process is two stage, a telephone call followed by a face to face but the client can be flexible on the face to face if you are not based locally. The role is expected to run for 24 months + with the minimum acceptable term being 3 months.
