LOCATION: This role will involve travel to client sites throughout the UK with overnight stays when required. Candidates will also need to travel to the Company’s Head Office in Reading, Berkshire when required.

Working as the Test Analyst / Senior IT Performance Software Tester you deliver performance testing services to the Company’s top tier client base.

Your duties and responsibilities as the Test Analyst / Senior IT Performance Software Tester will include planning, scripting and executing performance tests using a variety of tools on your own and within a team. You will be given the tools you need to advance your skills and experience, while developing a rewarding career and adding true value to your career and clients.

DUTIES

Your duties and responsibilities as the Test Analyst / Senior IT Performance Software Tester include:

                                                             Develop and implement risk based performance testing

                                                             Deliver information to project stakeholders and the technical team in a format they can understand

                                                             Setup application and system monitoring to identify performance bottlenecks

                                                             Adhere to the Company’s high standard of delivery even in tight deadlines

                                                             Mentor and coach your team members and review their code and documents

                                                             Solve complex technical problems

IDEAL CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

                                                             Proven experience delivering performance test solutions with tools such as LoadRunner, JMeter or SilkPerformer etc.

                                                             Passionate about performance

                                                             You are the best performance test specialist you know

                                                             Able to understand the difference between client side and server side performance

                                                             Able to pick up new tools and techniques quickly

                                                             You can teach junior members of staff in the best practice

                                                             You don't just send the report generated by your performance test tool

                                                             You don't just record and replay

                                                             Source control your test assets

                                                             You can write good quality code

                                                             Confident and proud of the scripts you write

                                                             Ability to write a fantastic document without a template
