Software Engineers C, C++ or Java / Research Engineers - Future Computer Architectures PhD

A fantastic opportunity for Software Engineers, at all levels, to move into a genuine commercial Research and development environment, to work on real HPC / Supercomputing projects and products, contributing to the invention of new computer architectures, technologies and trends.

As a software engineer you must be comfortable joining a well qualified, highly capable team to conduct research and development on several multi-national research projects.

You will work independently on forward-oriented technologies, bridge the project requirements with the companies internal technology development, and coordinate between external research partners and internal engineering activities.

The ideal applicant would have -

      •     Sound Linux (at all levels) development experience

      •     Good knowledge of C, C++ or Java

      •     Experience with networking, data centre, low latency, scalable projects

With experience in any of the following being advantageous -

      •     High-performance computing

      •     Reconfigurable technologies, FPGAs

      •     Cloud computing

      •     Virtualisation and containerisation

This is a very rare opportunity to use you existing C++, Linux development experience in a novel Computer Architectures Research and development position, with a company who are pushing the boundaries of high performance computing architectures.
