Maintenance Electrician (Factory Production) Runcorn: Up to £30k + Bonus + Benefits

Huxley Engineering and a Multi-£Bn Global Name in Materials Production & Manufacture are looking to recruit an Electrician on a permanent basis for their large Heavy Production facility in the Runcorn area, as part of succession planning within the Group.

Reporting into the Electrical Engineer, the role of the Electrician is to safely carry out both preventative and breakdown maintenance in order to achieve a high level of production plant availability, whilst ensuring safe working and utilising WCM tools & techniques at all times

The Electrician will be accountable for the following:

* To actively support the deployment of World Class Manufacturing (WCM) activities across all areas of the business, both in daily duties and whilst on nominated projects.

* Electrical maintenance of all plant equipment and services to the highest possible standard allowing the Company to safely achieve quality and performance targets, by preventative maintenance techniques and minimising breakdown downtime

* Electrical repair of all plant equipment to minimise downtime.

* Plant equipment includes drives, controls, inverters, instrumentation controls, conveyors, PLCs, emergency stop systems and high speed packaging machines.

* Able to work from wiring diagrams and use a range of tools to calibrate, inspect and test installations and machinery to make sure they are working correctly and safely, and according to schedule.

* Accurate reporting of work carried out in logbooks including timelines, spares used, and to sign off work and hand back to production without delay.

* Comprehensive shift handover: with sufficient overlap time to ensure a continuous smooth operation and an effective operational hand over.

* Proactive approach to plant and organisational improvements, making suggestions to enhance equipment, departmental and site performance.

* Support the Projects team in the installation and implementation of CapEx projects

Specifically, my client is looking for an Electrician who possesses the following qualifications and experience:

* Full qualified apprenticeship or NVQ level 3 (Electrical Engineering).

* IEE Wiring Regulations - 17th edition

* PEO NVQ level 1 and 2, and, BTEC National Certificate in Engineering (not essential)

* Working on industrial machinery (particularly Rockwell drives, PLCs and operator interfaces), ideally within a 24 hour continuous operation.

* Electrical controls associated with process plant (eg: AC and DC drives, PLCs, relay logic, inverters, PID loops, industrial distribution systems, switchgear, lighting systems etc).

* Planned preventative maintenance systems for electrical equipment.

* Ideally possess an understanding of pneumatics, steam raising plant, combustion systems and material handling equipment

For the successful Electrician, a salary up to £30,000 + Bonus + Benefits is on offer and this Electrician role is commutable from Chester, Liverpool, Warrington, South Manchester, Runcorn, Widnes, Northwich, Speke, St Helens and Crewe.
