Application Migration Architect - Norwich - 6 Months

My client, a large Outsourcing organisation are to hire a number of Application Migration Architects for an initial 6 month contract based in Norwich. The roles are part of a large Migration project moving away from an existing supplier to new DC's and are starting in coming months so the initial groundwork needs to be started. The client can offer a competitive daily rate and are keen to interview as soon as possible.

Role Information:

* The roles are responsible to oversee the migration of business application servers to ensure the successful migration of the client infrastructure.

* The end client is moving away from existing supplier for the hosting and DC requirements and looking to migration a number of existing applications and data.

* There will be close involvement in the planning phase up to August 2018 then in the execution from August 2018 onwards.

Required Skills:

* Candidates should have prior experience in a similar migration project.

* Take ownership of the creation of the appropriate design documentation for migration readiness/execution and the resulting service support/activation.

* Experience or knowledge of working with Platespin V2V and L&S is essential.

* Experience of VM Migrations and Exadata/Teradata lift and shift migrations would also be of interest.
