Software Engineering Lead

I am currently working with one of the UK's leading travel companies who're rapidly growing in size and looking to extend their software engineering team. Recent investment coupled with fantastic growth has allowed them to increase their hiring but they need a lead engineer to really make this specific team their own and implement agile methodologies and have a large input on the technologies used and architecture within the projects.

The right candidate will be keen to learn, expand their own knowledge as well as sharing what you already know with more junior members of the team. You will be working on web applications across mobile, tablet and desktop so will be happy in a versitle environment producing excellent solutions and products.

Skills required include:

- Take the lead on design and development of features.

- Be proactive in driving improvements in engineering practices across the Engineering discipline.

- Lead and coach Engineers.

- Write high quality robust code including tests.

- Strong sense of ownership and the quality of the solutions you produce.

- Highly Proficient with HTML 5, AJAX, Bootstrapping, XHTML, HTTP, JQuery, JSON and XML.

- Solid understanding of styling and applying design to web pages using CSS.

- Highly Proficient with JavaScript frameworks such as Node.js, React.js and Angular.js.
