A global organisation based near Warrington are looking for an experienced Software/Firmware Engineer to join their successful team. You will be expected to come on board and be an enthusiastic and dynamic Firmware Engineer who can support the innovation team. They are looking for a passionate engineer who is happy to come in and hit the ground running working on some complex projects in the gas industry. You will be expected to be the Firmware Engineer who is the go to guy and can be there to support any software/firmware issues.

As their Software/Firmware Engineer, you will be expected to have previous experience writing software/firmware on RTOS using a variety of microcontrollers and also must be able to work to deadlines and timescales in a multi-disciplined team. You must be able to write test plans and carry out validation of code, also be able to write and document software/firmware in C/C++ and Assembler.

Skills needed for this role include:

- Software/Firmware experience

- Previous experience with C, C++ and assembler

- Writing software/firmware on RTOS - in Embedded Systems

- Working with a variety of microcontrollers - PIC, ARM

- Previous experience writing test plans and carrying out validation

- Experience with one of the following: I2C, SPI, UARTS, RS232

Desirable skills for this role include:

- Hardware knowledge - PCB Design

- ARM processors

- Experience with one of the following: Bluetooth, WIFI, Ethernet
