C Developer / Hardware Engineer (C TCP/IP Networking Ethernet Linux). Scientifically minded C Developer / Hardware Engineer sought by market leading hardware vendor; their products are used to provide super low latency and high performance for clients including Investment Banks and Stock Exchanges.

As a C Developer / Hardware Engineer you will design, develop and implement new features on their flagship middleware product (a kernel bypass network solution) and as a senior member of the team you will also have client interaction with Tier 1 Wall Street clients.

This C Developer / Hardware Engineer role presents an excellent opportunity to join a market leading company in a senior position that will allow you to work on a range of complex and interesting projects. Offices based in Cambridge, casual dress code, onsite parking available and commutable by train.

Requirements:

*Extensive C development experience

*Good knowledge of Linux including Linux kernel device drivers

*Good knowledge of Networking, Ethernet or TCP/IP

*Excellent communication skills

*Desire to work closely with the customer

*Excellent record of academic achievement, having achieved a minimum 2.1 or above in Maths, Physics or Computer Science - ideally having gone to study at MSc or PhD level
