IT Risk Officer

One of our global financial services clients is seeking an IT Risk Officer to join their Midlands based team. You will be responsible for the Information Security and Continuity activities within the business, and collecting, consolidating and reporting all necessary information about IT operational risks.

You and your team will be responsible for:

oSetting up and steering the framework used to control all IT & Cyber risks to manage decisions

oEnsuring that all risks Act as a control tower within IT functions: are a priority for IT operations staff, and are shared and remedied with the Business line and general management.

IT Risk Officer duties will include, but not limited to:

oDocument and maintain the IT Risk framework

oEnsure the mapping of local policies to group policies and regulatory requirements

oIdentify and fill any gaps on the IT Risk framework

oDefine company risk acceptance principles and rules, and deploy them

oManage 9 Risk Domains

oIdentify, assess and evaluate IT Risks

oDevelop an IT risk awareness program and undertake staff training

oDevelop and implement risk responses, to ensure that risk factors and events are addressed in a cost-effective manner and in line with the business objectives

oMonitor the risk and communicate information to the relevant stakeholders as required

oDesign and implement control in alignment with the organisations risk appetite and tolerance levels to support business objectives

oMaintain the business IT Disaster Recovery Plan

As the IT Risk Officer, you will be required to possess:

oTrack record implementing and maintain IT Security Systems

oA strong knowledge of the current threat landscape and latest defence techniques

oUnderstanding of PCI-DSS requirements

o5+ years working within an IT Security or IT Risk Management role

oCISSP or CEH certification is desirable, but not essential
