1 Onboard Core Platform Group

Responsible for delivering next generation core platforms across multiple onboard environments (rtos, micro kernel, Linux...) the projects you deliver will create the API for the vehicle enabling faster service and feature development.

1 Service development Group

Sitting at the middle layer between the core platform and features, the services group is charged with delivering a service oriented framework upon which abstracted features can be developed

1 Feature Delivery Group

Responsible for development and delivery of customer facing features built on the available services spanning both on and off board environments (embedded and cloud). The features created will directly drive value and differentiate product offering. You will be expected to innovate in this space and deliver new revenue generating features that set our products apart.

1 Development Infrastructure Build & Test Group

Responsible for establishing development and test infrastructure for complex software projects supporting all projects in the Digital Delivery Centre. Establish and grow a DevOps philosophy for your own and development teams.

Key Performance Indicators

* To achieve staffing levels in alignment with the agreed headcound budgets

* Delivery of software project to agreed targets

* Positive indicators in pulse surveys, especially high performance in employee satisfaction

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

* To deliver software to agreed time, cost and quality targets.

* Develop the skills of the team to deliver continuous improvement

* Lead the team in the planning, co-ordination, delivery and reporting of S/W projects to support the programme cycle plans

* Negotiate/ agree on requirements and targets for S/W moduels with relevant stakeholders.

* Manage conflict and issue resolution within the Centre of Competence and across functions

* Manage external communications and status reporting, providing a coherent status for senior managers and directors

* Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential:

* Significant experience in leading complex software projects with both internal and external parties through the entire development lifecycle, utilising agile approaches in relevant industries (e.g. automotive, telecoms, cloud, defence, enterprise).

* Experience of delivering products through a team, utilising strong people management skills

* Significant technical knowledge of the domain or an associated area

* Knowledge and experience of applying principles and toolsets supporting robust software delivery ( Devops, QA, Agile,TDD,Continues Integration,Git, Jira…)

* Sound understanding of coding with first hand experience of development

* Proven ability to manage senior stakeholders and communicate at all levels

* Degree or relevant equivalent experience preferred

Desirable:

* Knowledge of system functions in automotive ADAS, Infotainment, Telematics, Chassis,

Electrified Powertrain.

* Knowledge of emerging technologies in automotive

* Experience of delivering change in an organisation

* Experience of delivering projects to high safety standards SIL or ASIL

* Knowledge of systems engineering processes and principles

* Experience of building and managing multiple internal and external relationships in complex stakeholder environments

* Demonstrable business acumen

* Negotiation and influencing skills
