Devops Engineer - BristolOur leading client based in Bristol is looking for an experienced Devops engineer to join their team to help with some important Application support work that is available. Dependent on further application enhancements this opportunity may continue into a more long term opportunity.Essential skills:
•Awareness of security concerns and best practices.•Deployment and management of large scale systems and estates (vMWare/Windows based)•Application Lifecycle Management (MKS) and change managment.•Linux (RHEL) & Windows Server (2003 and above)•License Management (Windows)•Virtualisation (VMware)•Thin Client (Citrix) / Terminal Servers•Strong communication skills •Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently•Leadership/Delivery
Desirable:
•Apache Ant, Struts, JSP, Jboss, Apache Tomcat, Java, Selenium, ANT•Previous experience or knowledge of Agile methods particularly Scrum.•Cloud Providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) •Continuous Integration/Delivery/Deployment Pipelines (Jenkins/Bamboo) •Configuration As Code (TravisCI/Jenkinsfile or similar)•Infrastructure As Code (AWS CloudFormation/Azure Resource Manager/Terraform)•Virtual Machine Tooling (Vagrant, Packer)•Configuration Management Tooling (Puppet, Ansible, Chef)
