Essential skills:

Senior Engineers will need to show experience across most of the below;

. Awareness of security concerns and best practices.

. Deployment and management of large scale systems and estates (vMWare/Windows based).

. Application Lifecycle Management (MKS) and change managment.

. Linux (RHEL) & Windows Server (2003 and above)

. License Management (Windows)

. Virtualisation (VMware)

. Thin Client (Citrix) / Terminal Servers

. Strong communication skills

. Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently

. Leadership/Delivery

Desirable:

. Apache Ant, Struts, JSP, Jboss, Apache Tomcat, Java, Selenium, ANT

. Previous experience or knowledge of Agile methods particularly Scrum.

. Cloud Providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)

. Continuous Integration/Delivery/Deployment Pipelines (Jenkins/Bamboo)

. Configuration As Code (TravisCI/Jenkinsfile or similar)

. Infrastructure As Code (AWS CloudFormation/Azure Resource Manager/Terraform)

. Virtual Machine Tooling (Vagrant, Packer)

. Configuration Management Tooling (Puppet, Ansible, Chef)
