3rd Line Support Engineer
A 3rd Line Support Engineer is needed for a global ecommerce company based in Windsor. They have become globally successful and have grown from strength to strength.
The 3rd Line Support Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that the company IT infrastructure and systems are reliable, resilient and meet the needs of the business. As new infrastructure or improvements are required you will need to analyse potential solutions and specify the software, hardware and/or services best suited for the task or project.
The role also requires rotated weekend cover for issues that may arise on any critical infrastructure or public-facing systems. Though the role is primarily focused on 3rd line support, on occasion, you will also need to provide 2nd line support to business teams and internal end users.
Experience Needed:
* 3+ years' experience troubleshooting 2nd/3rd line support issues relating to:
* Virtualised Environments, ideally azure, vSphere and Horizon/View administration and maintenance
* Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP and DNS administration
* Windows Server (ideally 2012/2016) maintenance, upgrading and troubleshooting
* Server hardware implementation, upgrading and maintenance
* Exchange Online and/or On-Premise (2016) administration
* Knowledge and experience of firewall technologies
Desirable:
* Working in a public-facing website environment
* Azure maintenance/administration and/or migration of on-premise systems to the cloud, ideally Azure
