SALARY: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum (Depending on Experience) + Benefits

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an Embedded Software Engineer / C Developer that has excellent coding skills and experience in Firmware Development.

Working as the Embedded Software Engineer / C Developer you will join the Company’s Technical Team that has strong electronics and product design capabilities.

As the Embedded Software Engineer / C Developer your expertise is required for developing firmware, electronics design and data monitoring design and management.

DUTIES

Your duties and responsibilities as the Embedded Software Engineer / C Developer:

                     Developing embedded firmware for a range of electronics

                     Developing code for monitoring a range of electronics in relation to energy consumption, environmental controls and other characteristics

                     Database management and improvement

                     Database analysis and standard report development

                     Application development (Apple and Android)

                     Website development

IT / TECHNICAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Software

                     Firmware development (in C) for ARM Cortex, Atmel AVR, Raspberry Pi

                     Writing code for Windows PC's to control/configure hardware over USB

                     Experience of constructing and managing databases

                     Experience of Ethernet protocols - UDP, TCP, FTP

                     HTML page building to display database information to clients

                     Coding for hardware interfaces - I2C, SPI, UART, RS485, RS422, and Ethernet

                     Writing software for in-house test-jigs

Hardware

                     Hardware design using microcontrollers - ARM Cortex, AVR, Raspberry Pi

                     Switch mode supply topologies and design

                     Battery technology and cell management

                     LED lighting

                     Ethernet, USB, GPRS, WiFi hardware interfacing

                     Design from cradle to grave with emphasis on design for manufacture

CAD

                     Knowledge of schematic capture and PCB layout
