Junior Project Manager

We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic and detail orientated Junior Project Manager to join Experis on a permanent basis. We are actively looking to secure a Junior Project Manager to join Experis and work on an exciting department for one of our clients.

Team Overview

The Change Delivery Team is responsible for planning and managing the delivery of all significant changes across the client brand; ensuring the business, technical and operational readiness aspects of projects are considered, planned and delivered. The team consists of Programme Managers, Project Managers, Business Analysts and a PMO function.

The team has the following key responsibilities:

* Ensuring the brand delivers all change in an efficient and predictable way

* Applying the necessary governance to ensure our capex investments and change roadmap are always aligned with our strategic objectives and goals

* Providing a single view of all delivery activities, that's reliable and trusted

Responsibilities include

* The annual capex planning process, and ongoing maintenance of the brand's Change Delivery Roadmap

* Financial forecasting, tracking and reporting of capex projects across the brand

* Co-ordinating and recording Project End of Concept Stage Reviews and Post Implementation Reviews

* Coordinating the Change Delivery Boards; writing the minutes and tracking actions

* Maintaining and improving the Change Delivery Framework and templates

* Analysing the weekly project status reports and collating the weekly Single View Report

* Reviewing project deliverables and working with Project Managers and Business Analysts to continually improve quality

* Maintain and manage the Risks and Issues log

* Managing Project Health checks

* Supporting Finance to ensure appropriate project financial controls are maintained (tracking the capex budget, reconciling and reporting the month end position and updating the forecast).

* Managing , forecasting and reporting on the financial position of one of our large programmes of work

* Supporting the 'Ideas Process' that controls the flow of new initiatives onto the Change Delivery Roadmap

* Maintaining the central change delivery control documents including :

* Issues, Risks and Dependencies Register (and ensuring appropriate actions are being taken)

* Change Requests Log

* Ideas Log

* Administering the shared document area on Sharepoint

* Raising and approving purchase requisitions

* Raising and tracking recruitment requests within the team

Essential skills

* Strong academic background, educated to degree level, or equivalent

* Minimum 3+ years programme / project management experience

* Portfolio / Programme / Project management methods and techniques

* Good working knowledge of Business Analysis methods and techniques

* Business Case development

* Change management and business/operational readiness

* Excellent written and verbal communications

* Financial accounting

* Microsoft Office suite of tools

* You'll be an experienced Junior PM/ PMO analyst / programme co-ordinator

* You'll be highly organised and have the drive to bring order and structure to the projects' environment you'll be working in

* You'll have a good understanding of how projects are delivered successfully, preferably in the media/telecommunications industry

* Ideally you'll have some experience of managing small projects, or exposure to the end to end project lifecycle, or managing substantial parts of the project lifecycle

* Quality and attention to detail is important to you. You'll demonstrate this in everything you do, balanced by an appropriate level of pragmatism.

* You'll have a 'can do' attitude, will lead by example, and be prepared to go the extra mile when needed.

* You'll enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and have excellent prioritisation skills in order to balance key priorities

* As this is a 'change delivery' role you'll have the ability to establish productive working relationships with people across the organisation

* You'll pride yourself on your strong communication skills, both written and oral

* You'll have knowledge of project management tools and techniques, and excellent Microsoft Office skills

* You won't be reticent in challenging accepted approaches, but you'll do this in an emotionally intelligent way.

* You'll have a genuine interest in the rapidly changing global TV landscape and an early adopter of consumer technologies.
