IT Support Technician (1st, 2nd and 3rd line)

IT Support Technician required for a FTSE 250 engineering and training support services organisation based at HMS Raleigh in Torpoint. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an organisation recognised for their outstanding training performance and delivery of subject matter expertise. Working closely with the Royal Navy, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting edge technology within a military environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Deliver high quality maintenance and support on specific IT systems and training equipment

* Provide 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support to ensure calls are managed in line with agreed SLA's

* Provide user support to ensure the effective resolution of technical problems

* Document solutions to problems regarding IT hardware/software and configuration

* Ensure backups are completed in accordance with system specific processes

* Manage and deliver hardware/software deployment

* Build PC, Server and Mobile Systems

* Ensure appropriate installation, maintenance and disposal of IS Equipment

* Additional responsibilities when necessary to support contracts and projects

* Occasional travel to other sites when required

Technical Experience and Qualifications Required:

* Previous experience of fault finding, diagnosing, repairing and maintaining IT systems

* Microsoft Server 2010 and general knowledge of Windows based products i.e. Active Directory, Exchange, Office

* 1st - 3rd line support experience

* Full UK Driving Licence

* Experience within the military (desirable but not essential)
