Role: Cloud Developer (GCP, Java, Python)
The ideal candidate will be working alongside a renowned finance firm and have a strong development background with cloud experience (GCP/AWS). You will be required to be on site with the end client in Sheffield and be able to lead a small team of colleagues when asked upon.
This opportunity is for an initial 6 month contract within the finance industry based in Sheffield.
Must have:
* Knowledge of cloud architecture & services (preferably Google Cloud Platform, AWS can be considered.
* 3+ years Java experience.
* Strong commercial exposure using scripting languages - Python.
* Big Data, Hadoop ecosystem.
Technical skills (nice to have):
* GCP certified and exposure.
* Deploying, automating, maintaining and managing AWS cloud based production system, to ensure the availability, performance, scalability, and security of productions systems.
* Containers - Docker/Kubernetes.
* Experience in big data ecosystem.
* Experience of streaming data using frameworks/tools (Spark/Flint/Storm etc).
* DevOps principles & tools:
* CICD
* Bamboo/Jenkins
* GitHub/BitBucket
* JIRA
* Confluence
