Head of Development and Testing required for a leading British client in Basingstoke Head of Development and Testing will lead the development and delivery of all IT applications through internal IT teams or external development partners. Will also manage the testing of all IT solutions.Responsibilities
'€¢Overall responsibility for the IT application development partnering project to secure a development partner for the client and to transition development activity to the partner.'€¢Overall responsibility for IT application development and third line application support - to time, cost and quality.'€¢Overall responsibility for IT integration activities.'€¢Overall responsibility for the testing of all IT solutions.'€¢Overall responsibility for forecasting, planning and reporting for IT application development. '€¢Overall responsibility for forecasting, planning and reporting for IT application development.'€¢Leads the development and adoption of the IT different application development methodologies (or SDLC) - from analysis of business requirements through design, build and test with a clear linkage through to the service introduction.'€¢Lead the IT application development resource strategy ensuring best use of internal resources versus partners, driving best value from IT partners and ensuring the appropriate mix of flexibility and risk.'€¢Responsible for the selection and adoption of IT application development tools and technologies in line with the overall IT roadmap.'€¢Develops and maintains a high performing organisation including high levels of productivity and quality and create an environment that reflects the values of the client in order to attract and retain high calibre people.'€¢Work with selected third party suppliers and outsourced development and support partners.
Ensure Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) is embedded in the culture of the client to deliver the six customer outcomes of right culture, right information, right delivery, right targeting, right advice, and right post sales treatment.Provide leadership within a framework of prudent and effective controls which enable risk to be assessed and managed to fit within the Board's agreed risk appetite.Capability, Knowledge and Experience:
'€¢Broad IT experience covering IT programmes, development and operations'€¢Specific experience of large scale IT application development to time, cost and quality.'€¢Specific experience of the different IT application development methodology definition and adoption.'€¢Experience of IT application development management including forecasting, planning and reporting.'€¢Experience of IT application development resource strategy definition and delivery.'€¢Experience of board level relationship management.'€¢Track record of successful delivery across all areas of IT.'€¢Clear commercial acumen related to IT activity.
