Deskside Support Engineer required on a permanent basis for a leading global provider of financial administration solutions. The Desk Side Engineer is responsible for providing Front Office infrastructure, hardware and software support. The Desk Side Engineer will work closely with the Service Desk to provide second and third line operational support and to ensure timely and efficient resolution of service requests, issues and incidents.

Key performance indicators

                               Calls attended/resolved per day by desktop engineers

                               Ratio of desktop engineers to devices supported

                               Meeting desktop fault resolution SLAs

                               Customer satisfaction scores

Responsible:

                               Efficient and effective delivery of Front Office infrastructure second and third line operational support including (but not limited to) desktop and client support, local server and network support, desk-side delivery and desk-side training of end users and installations

                               Support the investigation and diagnosis of assigned problems for workarounds and / or root causes. Proactively propose solutions to problems and implement solutions as agreed with the Manager of Desk Side Support

                               Maintain a level of technical expertise and continually build a strong understanding of technical knowledge and current market and industry trends

                               Participate in disaster recovery activities as required

                               Perform capacity management and availability management activities for Front Office systems

The client

A leading global provider of financial administration solutions, working in partnership with over 7000 clients including Asset managers and investors, Business managers and asset owners. The client provide the infrastructure through which assets are secured or deployed in both regulated and unregulated markets.

Location

This role will be based in the clients Bromley office and has fantastic transport links into central London and Kent including Train, Tram and Buses. The office is in close proximity to a large shopping centre which includes a number of high quality restaurants.

Salary

The client are able to offer a base salary of £24k per annum and offer a great benefits package.
