Java Developer - Java - London - Fintech

My client is a financial technology institution based in the heart of the city. They produce complex algorithms and software using Java to allow individuals in the fixed income market to asses the liquidity of an asset, based on the global market in a matter of milliseconds. For both the buying and selling of assets.

You will become an integral part of the team building a greenfield system from the ground up in a highly Agile environment.

The tech stack:

* Java 8 for code

* Spring Boot & Cloud for containers

* MySQL/Oracle for database

* Redis for in-memory caching

* SOLR/Elastic for searching

* ActiveMQ/Kafka for asynchronous messaging

* Kubernetes for managing deployments

* AWS for infrastructure

Java Developer's Duties:

* The Java Developer will report to the Head of Backend development, you will be responsible for enhancing and creating Java microservices

* Work in a highly Agile environment

* Develop in java existing code base and greenfield environment

* Participate in systems design and requirement analysis

* Collaborate with other teams to ensure software is delivered in a timely manner keeping to deadlines

* Evaluate new technologies to enhance software architecture

Java Developer's Essentials:

* 3-5 years' experience in Java development relating to the above

* Excellent skills in Java development, namely Java 8

* Experience with Spring Boot

* Good knowledge of Relational Databases

* Experience with source control and build management

* Experience with cloud deployment tech
