Business Intelligence Support Technician

Main Purpose of role:

Partners with clients Data Analytics team members, the IT Service Desk and internal customers to provide technical support to the BI applications and the underlying database infrastructure. Excel in the role of a 2nd level technical contact point for Reporting and SQL related queries. Support the BI developers through incident and change management and work with the BI Project Manager to provide basic data analytics. Flag complex issues, escalations or improvement opportunities to the Data Manager.

Accountabilities:

MSM Service request handling

* Manage incidents, changes and configurations successfully and on time by applying ITIL framework

* Maintain accurate records in line with the ITIL SM guidelines to provide traceability for incidents, requests and changes

Application and infrastructure support

* Support and resolve Data Warehouse, SSAS, SSIS and application reporting issues

* Take measure for corrective referential integrity and support and advise on data quality

* Identify and resolve application (Tableau) or relevant SQL issues

* Maintain and drive team quality processes and create quality documentation as required

Key Skills/Experience Required:

* High attention to detail and good customer support skills

* Good understanding of SQL - Desired level: Intermediate
