Job Title: Digital Learning Officer

Location: Luton LU1

Salary: £30,756 - £33,136 a year

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent, 37 hours per week

The Role:

The role presents a unique opportunity to join a lively and creative learning and development function. The primary focus of the role is to drive the development of digital and online learning across the Council. A chance to contribute to the delivery of the Councils People Plan by planning, designing, implementing and evaluating digital and online content.

About you:

You will be tech savvy and up for a challenge with a passion for all things learning and development.

Key Requirements:

* Experience of developing and maintaining learning management systems (LMS) and/or virtual learning environment (VLE)

* Experience of using authoring software to develop online learning content, and designing multimedia and web content to support the learning experience

* Demonstrable digital literacy skills, including content design and production, digital marketing, social media, user testing, writing for the web, and platform administration and configuration

* Able to effectively communicate, using negotiation, influencing and listening skills, to engage with, motivate, support, and gain enthusiasm and commitment from staff at all levels

* Specialist training in web-based learning systems, software applications, instructional design and online learning authoring tools

* Able to identify potential discrimination in the work place and take appropriate action

* Able to design appropriate blended or online learning solutions for a diverse range of

* Individuals and groups, and to suit different learning styles

* Able to plan, organise and prioritise complex workloads to meet competing deadlines and targets, and work effectively as a team member in a busy office environment
