MI Analyst

£38,000 + Package

London (City)

We are looking for an MI Analyst for a financial services company based in the City of London.

The ideal MI Analyst will have extensive experience of producing MI packs, preferably within a finance department. Any experience with finance systems would also be highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

*Board Scorecard

*Finance & Procurement MI Pack

*Up to date, meaningful and impactful generation of management information

*Continuous improvement of KPI metrics, including reference to best practice

*Assurance over the reliability and accuracy of the statistics and KPIs reported in balanced scorecards

*MI data collection and logging

*MI process management

*Develop, review and refresh management information

*Prepare draft financial information extracted from various systems

*Prepare balanced scorecards (including the Board Scorecard, and the Finance & Procurement MI Pack) and dashboards

*Validate information feeding into balanced scorecards to ensure it is robust, reliable and accurate

*Update and manage KPIs for Value for Money, Finance and Procurement

*Chair the monthly Finance & Procurement MI pack meetings, leading and facilitating useful discussions

*Liaise with the financial management team to collate information around benefits tracking and realisation, claims forecasting and project financials

*Provide the procurement team with an analysis of the Schemes monthly spend with suppliers

Technical Knowledge

*Experience of developing modern Balanced Scorecards which identify, clarify and map strategic/key objectives, and monitor execution through a set of strategic initiatives and performance indicators (KPIs)

*Experience of data mining and validating information from a variety of systems/sources

*Intermediate/advanced Excel and Powerpoint skills

*Good communication skills

*Experience of working within a busy Finance team with tight deadlines

*Experience of accounting systems including SUN, Hyperion and IPOS desirable but not essential

*Part qualified accountant or equivalent experience
