Now, we’re looking for an Associate Server Engineer to join our growing IT team. The role
As an Associate Server Engineer, you’ll be part of our growing Server Team, providing 2nd and 3rd line technical support. In fact, you’ll get involved in resolving related incidents and problems, while assisting with change programmes, upgrades and new system installations. You’ll also make sure that any incidents and activities assigned to you are resolved on time.
This role is all about contributing to the maximum availability of our corporate ICT systems on and off-site. This involves identifying and assisting with the implementation of any system developments. You’ll also be there to sort out complex and challenging technical issues around server hardware and software problems. And you’ll up-to-speed with relevant technologies to service delivery.
As a confident communicator, you’ll pass your knowledge onto your colleagues, while also forging positive working relationships with internal and external customers, suppliers and OGDs. With a passion for technology, you’ll know how to spot and report emerging trends that could inform any tactical changes to the ICT Server Infrastructure. Here, you’ll highlight any areas that need to be improved.
About you
To join us, you’ll need working knowledge of IT environments, including Windows Server operating systems, Active Directory and Group policy administration, and fundamentals of TCP/IP networking. You’ll also have proven customer service experience within a technical environment, familiar with PC/Server hardware, and have knowledge of ICT software security and Anti-Virus measures. While not essential, it’ll also help if you have experience in areas such as VMWare, Microsoft SQL/MS Exchange, and a variety of vendor/manufacturer hardware and software solutions.
