Unix/Oracle Database Administrator

A new and exciting opportunity for a Unix/Oracle Database Administrator has arisen to join a leading international software-based product company based in Dunstable, who over the past 40 years have developed a series of ground breaking innovative products and established themselves as a market leader.

As the successful Unix/Oracle Database Administrator, you will be part of a tight-knit team providing unmatched bespoke systems administration, alongside project activities to support our customers, whilst utilising your technical skills with Unix and Oracle.

The role is perfect for a target-driven Unix/Oracle Administrator with an innovative mind and a strong desire to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment!

Key requirements for the Unix/Oracle Administrator:

* Excellent communication skills and a strong appreciation of quality customer service.

* Strong experience with Unix, Oracle and Solaris.

* Good working knowledge of RMAN, RAC and Dataguard along with monitoring and Performance Turning Database in a UNIX/Solaris Environment and Oracle Application Server OAS would be advantageous but not essential.

* The ability to work in a tight-knit environment and deal with complex problems.

* Flexibility is essential as this role requires alternating shift patterns.

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 (depending on experience) + benefits
