Role: Contract Embedded Software Engineer

Location: Lancashire

Duration: 6 months

Rate: £38/£43 per hour

An opportunity for a contractor has come about, working for a leading security company developing alarm systems in Lancashire.

They are looking to bring on a contractor for an initial 6 months to help them work on a new iteration of their devices.

Due to the time constraints, they are ideally looking for somebody who is immediately available to interview and can start by the first week of May.

However for the right person they may be able to wait.

You will be developing software in predominantly embedded C but some aspects of development will be in C++ so experience with both languages is important.

You will be working in a real time environment on an ARM micro, the operating system is Thread X. You will be working in a small team of around 6 engineers on both the software and electronics side. Skills;

* C++

* ARM

* Real Time

* TCP/IP

* Thread X (RTOS)

The client are looking to pay between £38 and £43 per hour, depending on experience and how quickly they think you can hit the ground running.
