Chief Architect required for a leading client in BasingstokeThe IT Function has committed to the setup and establishment of an Enterprise Architecture Function to lead the business through this challenging period.  The Chief Architect will need to mobilise and lead this function at pace, establishing credibility with senior stakeholders and facilitation of a clear roadmap to support and expedite the business strategy.Responsibilities

'€¢Providing a cross-enterprise perspective to ensure efficiency, reuse and customer consistency across business lines and portfolios. Facilitating different parts of the organisation to achieve business outcomes, and helping business lines to identify and implement new tech innovation, and leverage existing'€¢Understanding and articulating the relationship between business strategy, technology and operations, and aligning strategy between these areas'€¢Defining and owning capability roadmaps, in particular those which transcend business area (eg single view of customer, external integration, cloud)'€¢Guardian of the enterprise information and technology vision and strategy, and aggressively (but pragmatically) defending strategic direction over individual projects or tactical needs - with an ability to manage across multiple time horizons'€¢Advising Exec/business leaders on capability (process and tech) implementation'€¢Implementation of the future enterprise architecture through the delivery of compliant solution architectures.'€¢Own, champion and demonstrate cost transparency, value delivery, service sustainability from the architecture strategy and system solutions of the organisation.'€¢Demonstrate the use of industry best practice.'€¢Governance of enterprise and solution architecture practices, tools and deliverables.'€¢Definition and implementation of architecture principles.'€¢Develop and maintain road-maps of tactical and strategic activities that deliver the architecture strategy.'€¢Assist in the development of solution sourcing strategies.'€¢Engage with industry bodies and independent market analysis organisations.'€¢Lead and drive the development of a team of IT architects across enterprise and solution architecture capabilities.
