BI / ETL Developer Our client are looking to recruit a highly experienced BI Developer to join a newly formed BI Development team and play a leading role in helping to design and build all the interactive reports, dashboards, data visualisation applications and self-service reporting environments that will be needed to meet the key information needs of users across all business functions.Ideally, candidates should also have previous experience in designing dimensional data models and designing and building the ETL jobs needed to extract data from source systems and then re-structure that data so that it is optimised for supporting BI applications.Skills required:

'€¢Experience working as a BI Developer on one or more large-scale Enterprise BI projects'€¢Experience working with one or more BI tools, such as Business Objects, Cognos, Microstratey, Oracle Business Intelligence (OBI), Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services and Analysis Services (SSRS and SSAS) or Information Builders's WebFocus.'€¢Experience of working as an ETL Developer or working closely with ETL Developers to design and build the ETL jobs to assemble the data needed to support BI applications.'€¢Experience developing online interactive reports and dashboards including deployments to desktops and mobile devices and distribution of reports via email and file transfer.'€¢Experience working with relational database systems, including strong skills in writing SQL queries, diagnosing errors and optimising performance.'€¢Strong business analysis skills and a proven track record of successfully working with business users to capture their analysis and reporting requirements and then designing and building BI applications to meet those requirements.'€¢Strong data analysis skills and a proven track record of working with source systems specialists to understand the available source data and identify the subsets of that source data that are required to meet business reporting requirements.
