350 - 500 per day

I am currently working on an urgent contract opportunity for a Project manager working within a financial services business based in Edinburgh. The initial contract is for 6 months with significant potential to extend, rates are flexible dependent upon experience. The client are looking for a candidate to join urgently (immediate start preferred although they will consider short notice for the right candidate).

We are looking for a business facing Project manager to work across a number of projects (Around 5) varying in scale/complexity who will be responsible for the full lifecycle of the projects from scope through to delivery. This is an immeidate need with interviews being set up over the next couple of weeks.

Working within a specific department within our clients Edinburgh offices, the successful candidate must have significant exposure of the full lifecycle of the project from project pkans and risk assesments through to project reporting and budgetary control activities.

As this is a high profile project for our client, it is important that the successful candidate meets all of their essential criteria.

Essential criteria:

* Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate with MA and client teams from different backgrounds and at all levels.

* 4+ yrs of experience in a financial institution (e.g. within an insurance company or consulting firm) preferred.

* Experience in delivering complex technical/analytic projects within an actuarial environment, including internal and external stakeholder management.

* An understanding of economic capital modelling and Solvency II Internal Model experience particularly relevant.

* Pragmatic approach to problem solving

* Ability to work to demanding timescales while maintaining high standards

* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including the ability to communicate with people from different backgrounds and at all levels
