Senior Procurement Manager - build a new function

Real Staffing is currently working with this established financial services business to assist them in the recruitment of an experienced Senior Procurement Manager to join them in their south Wales base and to build a Procurement function from scratch.

This is a true greenfield opportunity to build a new Procurement function in an organisation that hasn't previously had such a function. The role will involve designing and building the processes, systems and key business relationships across the organisation. You will also be responsible for ultimately recruiting a Procurement Manager to take the function forwards into business as usual.

To be successful in this role, you need to be able to offer a strong background in Procurement Manager, ideally having implemented a function from scratch, or been heavily involved in the design and update of systems and processes in an existing function. Some experience of a financial services organisation would be beneficial. Key to the role is an understanding of some of the risk and control demands placed on Procurement in a financial services context. In the role you will play a leading role in embedding a positive procurement culture through training and increasing awareness of required behaviours, monitoring compliance with these requirements and promoting a culture of continuous improvement across the company..
