Senior MySQL Developer / DBA

Up to £60,000 + Bonus

Birmingham / Staffordshire

MySQL / DBA / Developer/ Database / MariaDB / Linux / CentOS / RedHat

Working for a expanding multi-national software house, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to play an important role as the organisation expands it's offerings to support distributed DB clusters for it's products.

Technical

-Commercial experience of Database Administration using MariaDB or MySQL

- Commercial experience of working with Linux, preferably CentOS or RedHat

- Solid experience of database design, sizing, tuning and architecture

- Solid experience of MariaDB clustering using Galera

- Computer Science or relevant IT degree qualified

- Excellent communication skills

Responsibilities

- Planning and database development.

- Maintenance and high availability of the companies 24/7 services.

- Monitoring and tuning of database instances.

-Responsibility for back-ups and replication.

- Assisting with customer system design specifications.

- 3rd line support of customer deployments.

- The writing and maintenance of database documentation.

As Senior Database Administrator / Developer you can expect a salary of up to £60,000, Bonus, 24 Days + statutory holiday, Pension.
