This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a technology team that is transforming to deliver responsive services by exploiting the opportunities of cloud and multivendor sourcing. As we procure services rather than assets contracting, negotiation and vendor management become core competencies for a forward looking technology team. Reporting to the IT Director you will be able to make a major contribution to building an effective supply chain enabling Anchor to provide even better and more costs effective services to its customers.
Reporting into the IT Director, responsibilities include:
To develop specifications and requirements for IT contracts that are aligned with Business and IT Strategy
To ensure all contract service delivery is aligned with contractual terms and conditions
To identify opportunities to rationalise or re-configure existing contracts to provide increased flexibility and increase value
To play a key role in leading the development of new and replacement contracts, working closely with the procurement team
To manage the creation and maintenance of the IT budget
To manage operational IT purchasing decisions
To manage the work of the IT Operations Support Analyst
Required knowledge & experience:
Supplier management frameworks
General IT service delivery and project management principles
Good understanding of financial information and forecasting
Good understanding of contract law and current procurement best practice in the public sector.
Must have:
significant experience of contract relationship management
excellent negotiation skills and a highly commercial approach
highly developed stakeholder management skills (internal and external)
general IT industry knowledge and of IT governance principles
Required skills:
Excellent customer service and relationship management skills
Strong negotiation, influencing and assertiveness skills in order to manage customer expectations and outsourced partners
Must have excellent communication skills, both written and spoken,
