What we’re looking for:

We are looking for a Digital Project Manager who will own and define the project management process, as well as deliver the projects through the studio, to time, budget, quality and client satisfaction. You will work alongside a business analyst and account manager, scoping defining and delivering a range of digital projects including websites and web applications.

This is an important role that will place you at the heart of the agency, collaborating with a variety of stakeholders, both internal and external.

Responsibilities:

Ownership & Accountability -

+ Work as a team with the business analyst and account manager to own the client relationship.

+ Be accountable for all project management issues within the agency as a whole.

Planning -

+ Plan all projects, liaising with designers and developers to create task breakdowns and estimates.

+ Define project teams both internally and externally, including third party suppliers and freelancers where appropriate.

+ Contribute to the project specification i.e. pre-production, which will be owned by the business analyst.

+ Own the implementation of the specification i.e. production / design & build.

+ Think in terms of time rather than money and monitor the time budget daily.

Management -

+ Schedule and direct the team in terms of project priorities on a daily basis.

+ Ensure project documentation and stages of development are formally signed off.

+ Manage change requests on projects.

+ Manage project reviews, the creation of case studies and the closure of projects.

Reporting -

+ Communicate project plans, job statuses and work in progress to clients and the business at least weekly or daily if required.

+ Foresee and solve problems around delivery issues, escalating issues to the relevant stakeholders, where appropriate.

+ Monitor and manage performance of designers and developers and scrutinise timesheets on a daily basis.

+ Advise on resourcing requirements at least two months ahead of time. This requires regular communication with the commercial team to analyse the sales pipeline.

Operations -

+ Define and update all studio processes.

+ Create and maintain all Jira workflows.

+ Enforce studio processes.

+ Overall responsibility for studio operations.

About You:

+ A proven track record of successfully delivering multiple large digital projects in parallel.

+ Evidence of writing project documentation and delivering reports.

+ Strong problem solving skills with a desire to create momentum and get things done.

+ Experience of using industry tools and techniques e.g. Jira, Tempo, Slack, Trello, Microsoft Project.

+ Experience of different project management methodologies such as waterfall, agile or kanban.

+ The ability to communicate in plain English and explain project phasing and project plans to non-technical people.

+ Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage conflicting views about a project or the direction of a project via an evidence-based approach.

+ A thirst for knowledge in terms of industry direction, current and emerging web technologies and best practice. You will probably already attend meetups, conferences, read blogs etc.

+ You will be the advocate for best practice for your role within the agency.

What we offer in return:

A competitive salary based on experience | Flexible working hours to avoid traffic or help with family duties | 30 days paid holiday (22 + 8 UK national holidays) | Extra holidays for long service | Pension contribution | A top of the range MacBook Pro with a high quality second monitor | Personal development time to improve your individual skills in any area you choose | Time dedicated to exploring new technology and ways of working | Regular socials and bi-annual company away days | Fast, dedicated and uncontended fibre connection | Free parking | Free secure storage for bicycles & motorbikes | Shower for cyclists, runners and gym users | Free tea, coffee and other treats | Free eye tests | Childcare voucher scheme to reduce childcare costs.
