Project Manager
Working Pattern: Full Time, Fixed-term contract for 6 months
Hours: 36 hours per week
Salary: Grade G-H (£41,898 - £46,608 per annum)
Kingston and Sutton Councils have already undergone significant digital and technological transformation, allowing us to revolutionise the way we deliver key services. We look to our Project Managers to drive these crucial changes, ensuring that any project is carefully planned and implemented successfully from concept to completion.
We have an exciting opportunity for a talented Project Manager to play a key role in driving genuine change throughout the councils. You’ll lead on a range of digital projects, ensuring that they are effectively delivered to deadline and budget.
As an experienced Project Manager, you’ll take responsibility for all deliverables involved in any project. You’ll be a visible presence throughout all projects under your remit, regularly communicating with all involved and ensuring that deadlines and milestones are met.
Whilst the role doesn’t involve any direct management responsibility, we will look to you to play a leading role in the project team. As a senior member of the team, you’ll inspire and act as a role model for more junior members.
About you
This role requires an experienced and tenacious individual, capable of influencing and motivating others to ensure that all projects are carried out successfully. We’re looking for someone who really understands processes and will look to identify opportunities for further efficiencies, wherever possible.
You’ll have all the natural attributes of a great project manager - great organisational skills, keen attention to detail and outstanding communication skills.
It’s crucial that you’re able to understand the bigger picture when it comes to wider business and corporate need. This should give you what you need to be an effective champion of change and inspire others to follow suit.
Perhaps most importantly, it will be your confidence and experience that will be most integral to your success in this role. You’ll need to command respect and influence others in order to ensure that each and every project is carried out to the highest possible standard.
About us
Kingston and Sutton Councils take a huge amount of pride in the services we provide. We’re committed to delivering great public services that are not only highly effective but also easily accessible. We’ve championed the digitisation of services as well as adopting a ‘mobile first’ model to ensure that this commitment is fulfilled.
Those joining us will find a friendly and collaborative workplace where they are fully supported, both in their work and their future development. We offer a range of training opportunities as well as enabling a range of flexible working arrangements to ensure that you’re always connected to your colleagues.
We believe that all this, combined with a fantastic benefits package, makes Kingston and Sutton Councils the perfect place to further your career.
