Here at Kingston and Sutton, we want people who share our forward thinking and innovative approach to our work. We’re looking for 3 talented professionals who thrive in a creative atmosphere and want to work on the forefront of dynamic service delivery to be our Application Leads for various areas, which are outlined in more detail below.

ITSM

Our internal service desk is crucial to the smooth running of a number of essential services throughout the council. Ensuring that it is easy and straightforward to report ICT issues that arise allows timely and effective response with minimal disruption.

Kingston and Sutton Councils are currently looking for a talented Application Lead to maintain our Landesk service desk. This is a crucial developer role with a firm focus on improving user experience. You’ll tailor the software to ensure that it serves the council in the most effective way, updating and upgrading when required.

We want to bring new service areas into service desk’s remit and it will be up to you to lead on this integration.

It should go without saying that we are looking for someone with outstanding technical ability. You’ll bring experience of working in a similarly fast-paced environment and working with similar service desk systems. We have a talented, knowledgeable and experienced team and we would expect you to have the expertise and skills to establish yourself as a peer.

The nature of the role requires someone with confidence and great communication skills. You’ll be happy not only working within your team but also others across the business.

Digital

For us, there’s nothing more important than the level of customer service received by those using our services. We want the customer journey to be as simple as possible, with users kept updated at every stage.

Our CRM (MS Dynamics) is crucial to this. To ensure that this continues to be as efficient and effective as possible, on both sides, we are looking to appoint a new Application Lead.

The successful candidate will provide a comprehensive service for all aspects of support, management and development of MS Dynamics. You’ll ensure that the system is specifically tailored to the needs of the councils and our customers, continually assessing and analysing to identify any opportunities to improve, update and upgrade.

This role needs a talented individual who combines an analytical mind and technical expertise, with a passion for customer service. You’ll relish the opportunity to influence the customer journey and experience, establishing key processes that work for everyone involved.

The nature of the role requires someone with confidence and great communication skills. You’ll be happy not only working within your team but also with others throughout the business.

Planning Systems

Kingston and Sutton Councils are extremely ambitious and are making significant investments to drive the boroughs forward so both areas continue to thrive. The success of these plans rely heavily on services such as Planning, Building Control and Land Charges performing at maximum capacity and as effectively and efficiently as possible.

Both councils are in varying stages of implementing brand-new systems to support these functions and we are looking for a talented Application Lead to ensure the process is a success.

This varied role presents a challenging but unique proposition, one that the right candidate will relish. It will provide you with the opportunity to gain key experience of planning and implementing a complex migration, whilst also overseeing a day to day support function.

Needless to say, the varied nature the position requires an experienced and confident individual - one who won’t shy away from the demands of this role.

The technical aspects demand that the successful candidate is experienced in script integration, data mapping and migration. You’ll also have experience working with Oracle databases or similar, Idox Uniform and Document Management.

We’ve championed the digitisation of services as well as adopting a ‘mobile first’ model to ensure that this commitment is fulfilled.
