Senior Support Engineer (Telecoms, Electronics, Acoustics or Wireless Technology)

£40,000 to £45,000 + 10% Bonus + Holiday + Training + Pension + Flexible Benefits

This company are global leaders in wireless and wired communications and technology. They are at the forefront of audio technology and their products are used from firemen to fortune 100 companies. Due to continued stable growth they are looking for a Senior Support Engineer to join their team.

In this role you will manage queries from the technical centre, dealing with the 1% of issues globally that the 1st and 2nd line support engineers cannot fix. This role will involve hands on engineering, diagnostics, and dealing with customers, handling objective data and working with the design team.

The ideal candidate will be a degree qualified engineer with a skill set in electronics, acoustics or wireless technology. Industry experience related to telecommunications or audio products would be beneficial.

The Role

*Triaging and identifying root cause of technical product issues

*Based in Swindon with some international travel

*Working on escalated technical field issues

*Use of analysers, electrical and acoustic test equipment to aid in the capture and resolution of issues

The Person

*Degree qualified

*Experience in an in depth technical engineering support role or direct design experience of telecom products

*Experience of using engineering test tools or protocol analysers

*Experience of electronics to a system design level

*Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills especially with complex HW/SW interaction problems

*A skill set in telecom, electronics, acoustics or wireless technology
