The role
Within the HSE, we are constantly looking for ways to improve how we work. As such, we are currently undergoing an important and ambitious period of change as we modernise our IT capabilities. With IT infrastructure underpinning everything that the HSE does, we need to ensure that we are meeting the needs of the various stakeholders and departments who rely on us - and it is here that you will excel as you interpret user insights to influence service design and drive improvements. As the gatekeeper to our IT functions, you will ensure we are delivering the right services to the right people, co-creating service delivery plans with the Chief Technology Officer. Ensuring we are business-driven, customer-focussed and value-for-money, your business relationship management capabilities will prove invaluable. Using high calibre strategic communications to champion the value these IT transformations will provide, you will be instrumental in supporting business change.
Please note that internally, this job is referred to as an ‘IT Business Relationship Manager’.
Experience
With the scope to develop your leadership and planning capabilities, you will have solid experience of identifying, developing and conveying user requirements. A generic knowledge of IT architecture, system and network would be advantageous, but it is more important that you have come from a supplier management or service environment background where you have delivered continuous service improvements. With a good knowledge of the principles of ITIL, you will also have outstanding oral and written communication skills. It would be particularly desirable if you have either an ITIL V3 Foundation Certificate or a Business Relationship Management Qualification, and you will have the confidence to line manage our Business Relationship Coordinators.
