The role

We are currently going through an interesting period of change as we embark on modernising our IT capabilities to enable business transformation. We are therefore seeking an experienced Architect to define and deliver our technology strategy and enterprise architecture. As a member of the Chief Technology Officer’s team, you will scrutinise our current IT assets, maintaining and developing application and system architectures. You will also offer your guidance on technology roadmaps and the investments we need to make in IT in order to continue providing a high-quality digital infrastructure that underpins all HSE activities. Working with key stakeholders to understand their application requirements, you will endeavour to identify cost-effective solutions to our business needs.

Experience required

With experience of working on complex IT infrastructure as an Application/Solution Architect, you will have a background in enhancing existing IT assets and delivering new solutions. Committed to delivering exceptional customer service, you will therefore have a good knowledge of the Microsoft applications and services stack, plus architecture frameworks such as TOGAF and Zachman. Confident in developing systems and applications architecture including roadmaps, strategies, architectural standards and patterns, you will also be fluent in designing enterprise applications. It would be useful if you are capable of developing application architecture for interoperable case management/CRM systems, and your experience will ideally be complemented by a degree-level qualification in an IT-related subject. You will also have fantastic communication skills, and you will be a collaborative team-player.
